Gosh it's difficult finding time to post amongst warm weather activities. I can't believe that it's approaching August already. I was camping in Cornwall last weekend - a mixture of beautiful weather and lashing rain. Fortunately the bursts of camping endurance didn't stop us having a good time. I'll post some pictures when I get the film developed.
I've been working on another quilting project - a patchwork cushion cover. It's a gift for someone and I'm slightly nervous about whether they'll like it. Maybe I'll chicken out in the end and just keep it for myself! I pieced the circle using a slightly cobbled together version of this tutorial. The cobbling is no reflection on the tutorial I hasten to add, but on my lack of freezer paper and circle drawing tool.
Oh and in case you are wondering the white border isn't supposed to be even!
Here is the back awaiting quilting. I'm finding the whole free motion malarky a bit less stressful the more I do it although the main problem is that I still can't seem to stop holding my breath.
I'll leave you with a random picture of a shell I brought back from Cornwall. I looted a handful and am trying to think of something nice to make with them. Maybe a mobile ...
